FIFO (First In First Out) Priniciples Think Warehouse makes stock rotation a breeze. As your staff go about their daily tasks FIFO is automatically taken care of for them. As stock is allocated to be picked it is done so in FIFO order. This is invisible to staff but the system prevents them from picking stock out of stock rotation order. Because we developed Think Warehouse in partnership with people within the industry we also recognise that there are times when FIFO systems can be too restrictive. To assist with this Think Warehouse allows you to authorise trusted staff to step out of FIFO process giving you the flexibility to deal with those difficult situations that can occur from time to time. FIFO Types Think Warehouse manages your stock under one of three FIFO options - Absolute, Delivery or Batch - or any mix of the three. Absolute, as it’s name implies, ensures that every individual item of stock is picked in the same order it arrived. Delivery, allows you to pick stock in any order from the same delivery into the warehouse but ensures one delivery must be used before another can be touched.
